Hajime No Ippo

Hello everyone I'm Amateur Otaku and the manga I am going to talk my ever first sports manga called "Hajime no Ippo" written and ilustrated by George Morikawa.  The plot of this manga follows Ippo Makunouchi, a shy and bullied who one day is saved by Takamura Mamouru, a boxer who was running when the bullies attacked.  He then brought him to his gym and got him to hit a sandbag and when Takamura taught him a way to punch better, he punched the sandbag so hard it flew in an upward arc.  Then after that we see Ippo's journey into learning how to box and seeing all the people he meets on the way.  I originally found out about this series by my brother suggesting me to watch the anime series and i loved it.  I honestly consider this one of the best mangas ever and one of my favorites.  The characters, the story and the comedy are all awesome.  And since this is a sport manga, there will be a bunch of training arcs that are very realistic.  But the best thing about this manga are the fight scenes, though I will say that they are pretty bloody, they are all great and incredible.  I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoy sports, manga or boxing.

QP

Hello I'm Amateur Otaku and the manga that I will be reviewing is called "QP".  This manga was written and drawn by Hiroshi Takahashi, who was the same author of "Worst" which is one of my older reviews that I have done.  This main plot of this manga about the main character named Kotori Ishida, and his return to his hometown after spending time in a reform school and the changes that happened.  Not a real spoiler but, after a couple of chapters they are going to start talking more of his life before being sent to reform school.  To be quite honest all of the mangas involving Hiroshi Takahashi I enjoy immensely.  The characters are all very interesting and cool, the plot is enjoyble and the fight scenes are always awesome.  I highly recommend any of this authors works, this one included.

Fist of the North Star

Hello this is Amateur Otaku, and I will be reviewing a very famous manga.   The manga is called "Fist or the North Star" or "Hokuto No Ken" by Tetsuo Hara.  It is set in a post-apocalyptic and follows the life of Kenshiro, a martial artist that knows a very deadly martial arts that can make people blow up from the inside.  The characters are very interesting and cool, the action is very awesome but very gruesome and gory.  The story is very good and extremely enjoyable.  It is so famous that they actually made a live action american movie about it.  The manga is worth the read, but this is the most gory manga I have reviewed considering that the main character blows people up with his bare hands.

Zatch Bell

Gash Bel.png

Hello everyone it is me, Amateur Otaku and we're gonna talk about a positively great manga, to me.  Zatch Bell is a manga written and illustrated by Makoto Raiku.  This manga follows the lives of Zatch Bell, a child from another world and Takamine Kiyomaro, an genius middle schooler who is kinda of a dick.  This manga is to me has good as Fullmetal Alchemist, a manga I also reviewed but it one ups it for having many chapters.  The story from start to finish is great, the characters are all very interesting and there character development is incredible.  The action is awe-inspiring, but possibly the best part is the comedy, it's just so funny.  I honestly recommend this if you want to start reading manga, it's just that great to me.

Anime

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYpfr62ZJcg

In this link, it shows the opening to an anime about the manga of my last post, Kinnikuman.  Why do I bring up anime now?  Well, when I was doing schoolwork, it got me thinking of why didn't I talk about anime, which can happen to some manga that become famous enough.  And anime is like the equivalent to western cartoons for us.  And to answer of why I chose this anime opening, because I like it.

Kinnikuman

The manga I will now be talking about is another personal favorite of mine and the oldest manga of all the reviews I have done called "Kinnikuman" by the duo of Yudetamago, being made in 1979.  Kinnikuman follows the life of the titular character called Kinnikuman which means "muscle man", a cowardly and stupid chojin which literally means "superman". Originally, it started out as a parody of Ultraman, an old japanese super hero show, it changed to a wrestling manga, and meeting new heroes and villains alike.  I enjoy this manga, for it's story, the comedy, the characters which by the way, the majority of the character designs of the characters were sent by the fans of the series and are very awesome, the fight scenes and the teachings of friendship and never giving up.  Though at first, I didn't like the art during the first chapters of the series, it gets better.  I like the manga and would recommend it to others.

Angel Densetsu

The manga I'm about to reveiw is called "Angel Densetsu" created by Norihiro Yagi.  The plot of the manga follows the protaganist Kitano, who is quite possibly the kindest, hard working and nicest guy in a manga, which nobody knows because he has the face of a serial killer.  The plot is a simple one, but to me it is very interesting.  The art changes and gets better to time and at first the characters look weird but it they get better.  The characters themselves are surprisingly interesting and the couple of fights that happen are well made and drawn and the comedy is really good.  Even though the manga is pretty short, about 80 and some chapters, its actually fine with it.  If your looking for a diferent and funny manga, read it.
